Getting your test results
If any of the results are abnormal then the Practice/GP will contact you either by text message or by letter, asking you to make an appointment at the practice. You will be advised if the doctor wishes to see you in person or wants to arrange a telephone consultation.
Typically tests results will be available 8 – 10 days (or otherwise if so instructed) after your test.
Once a doctor has reviewed your test results, you can view them:
- in your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
- in your SystmOnline account
- phone or visit us between after 11.30am and we will tell you what the results are
Hospital Tests
Tests which are arranged by hospital consultants do not come back automatically to your GP until after you have seen the hospital doctor and been given the result personally.
